Working in watercolour and acrylics the artist, Charlie de Lacey, looks to capture the ephemeral beauty of the rose. From traditional botanical watercolours given a softer more translucent quality to modern large abstract canvases.
The large abstract botanicals in acrylic depict the unique signature of each rose in terms of shades of colour and the complexity of the roses’ patination. The paintings have a mesmerising effect.
Watercolour prints are available here. The botanical abstract original works of art in acrylic on canvas may be viewed exclusively at the Rose Garden Gallery. To request a catalogue or a viewing please complete the contact us form. Prints of the botanical abstract paintings will be available before Christmas 2022.
